Celebrate Your Special Day, Your Way…

Naturally you want your wedding day to be perfect in every way.

So, what happens if you’re told that you’re not allowed to include certain things in the ceremony?

There are many reasons why you mightn’t want a church ceremony…but that doesn’t mean you don’t want any religious content in the ceremony.

However, if you use a Registrar or a Humanist Celebrant to conduct your ceremony, you won’t be allowed to include anything to reflect your religious beliefs…

How can an Independent Celebrant help?

Using an Independent Celebrant means you will have a completely personal and individual ceremony.

You are in complete control of the ceremony, so I will design it around what you want – including religious content.

You can have readings, music, symbolic content – the choice is yours…

And…you can write your own Vows – instead of standard legal words the vows will have real meaning for each of you…

The Legal Requirements...

In Northern Ireland the law doesn’t currently allow an Independent Celebrant to complete the legal requirements of marriage.

This means that the couple must go to their local Registry Office to complete the short and simple legal procedure to obtain their marriage certificate.

Most couples do this a few days before they celebrate their marriage…before their Wedding Day, the day they really celebrate with family and friends.
